The Ministry of justice of Ukraine initiates the free access of Ukrainian citizens to the state registry of real estate.
“A year has passed (earned the land registry – ed.) and can say that we are ready to ensure that the register was open. And society, and the Ministry of justice done to the roster was free to use” – said the Minister of justice of Ukraine Pavlo Petrenko during the meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on preventing and combating corruption on Thursday in Kiev.
According to P. Petrenko, a year for the use of the registry to the state budget received about UAH 3 million. “From the point of view of global budgeting this amount is nominal,” – said P. Petrenko.
At the same time, the Minister drew attention to the fact that the fee for the use of the registry (20 UAH.) creates obstacles to journalists, who lead a “massive investigation”.
P. Petrenko said that the government is ready to develop and submit to the Verkhovna Rada a bill on amendments to the law that will allow citizens of Ukraine with free access to the real estate register. It will help in overseeing the construction of houses and dachas for our officials.
However, P. Petrenko stressed that the legal entity will continue to use the registry on a paid basis.
